Tina Brounsuzian is a New England flutist and teacher with a Master’s Degree in Performance and Bachelor’s degree in Music Education and Performance from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She has studied with New England-based flutist Christopher Krueger and coached by many other musical artists including Fred Cohen, Stephen Walt and Nadine Shank. During her career, she has also been accepted as a performer into masterclasses with nationally recognized flutists Amy Porter, Leone Buyse, Marianne Gedigian, Jonathan Keeble, Walfrid Kujala, Conor Nelson and Trevor Wye.
Tina is a versatile soloist, chamber musician and orchestral flutist, and is known for her warm, colorful sound and brilliant technique. She currently is principal flutist with The Valley Winds and performs chamber music with The Valley Wind Quintet. As an orchestral flutist and piccoloist, she can be heard playing with several orchestras including the New England Philharmonic and the Boston Civic Symphony.
As a flute teacher, Tina has nearly 15 years of teaching experience and provides lessons to all levels including beginners, intermediate and advanced students. Her goal is to instill a love for music with every student and for each student to have a positive and enjoyable experience. Members of Tina’s flute studio have been placed in the MMEA All-State band and principal positions for Western District band and orchestra. Her students have been accepted to summer music programs and reputable schools such as Boston University, The Hartt School, Berklee College of Music, Boston Conservatory, Crane School of Music, and Ithaca College.
